Enhancing Audio Settings

Those with hearing loss or who spend time in noisy environments may find Enhancing Audio Settings helps them

to hear better if they change the volume settings on their phone.

This is a fairly easy procedure to do.  It is different for iPhones than it is for Androids, but not that much different.

The basic volume controls on the left side of your phone may allow for a high enough volume for most needs,

but for those who need a louder volume from their phone there are other options.

Enhancing Audio Settings in Phone Settings:

You can increase the volume on your phone using the phone’s Settings menu.

Go to Settings and look for Sounds.

Use sliders to increase the volume in all areas that you can find.

You may find slider controls for notifications and alerts, ringtones, alarm, media, and system.

These sliders can be adjusted so that they work in a way that is specially suited to your needs.

It may take some time and effort to find the settings that work best for you, but it will be worth the trouble in the end.

Make adjustments until you are satisfied with the sound levels.

You can also look for Equalizer, Sound Effects, or Adaptive Sound, as the volume controls may be labeled differently on different phones.

Other Volume Options:

There are quite a few free and effective apps that can enhance your phone’s volume levels.

They are available for both iPhones and Androids.  Go to Apple or Google and look for volume boosters or equalizers.

You can also use earbuds to hear your phone better.

Many phones no longer have a headphone jack, though, so you may need to buy a toggle to adapt from your phone’s charging port to a headphone connection.

A good quality set of earbuds may be all that you need to allow good hearing in a noisy environment.
