Keyboard Operations Precise Cursor Control:
Moving the cursor to exactly where you need it can be hugely frustrating and difficult.
If you have Gboard (Android’s default keyboard), then you can easily move the cursor to where you need it.
First, get the cursor close to where you want it, then place your thumb on the space bar and slide it one way or the other until the cursor is in the right place.
If you don’t have Gboard this feature won’t work, but Gboard can be downloaded to any phone, so it’s easy to get it if you want it.
Deleting Text the Easy Way:
Android keyboards have so many great features, but this one is easily my favorite.
In order to delete text quickly and precisely, put your thumb on the backspace button.
Drag your thumb to the left one key for each word that you want to delete.
For example, if you want to delete five words then slide your thumb back to the C key.
Your phone will highlight the text you have selected, so it is easy to adjust one way or the other.
As long as you keep your thumb on the keys, no text will be deleted.
When you have selected the text you want to remove, simply lift your thumb and it will be deleted.
This method makes editing your texts much easier.
